About the Virtual Tour
The downloadable version is intended with use of virtual reality devices. Find the hotspots located around the castle grounds, point at them using your controller to find out more information about Sheffield Castle and the surrounding Castlegate area.
Requirements
The download is for Windows desktop only and works with the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. The graphical quality and resolution can be chosen on launch. The size of the application is 340Mb.
Oculus – Please refer to the Oculus Health and Safety Warnings before use.
Vive – Please prefer to the Safety and regulatory guide before use.
Controls
Vive
Trackpad – Hold to aim movement ray. Release to teleport to the selected location or open a hotspot.
Trigger – Press to cycle to hotspot positions.
Grip – Press to toggle the Castlegate model on/off.
Oculus
Right index trigger – Hold to aim movement ray. Release to teleport to the selected location or open a hotspot.
A button – Press to cycle to Hotspot positions.
B Button – Press to toggle the Castlegate model on/off.
Left thumbstick – Movement.
Right thumbstick – Rotate view.
